Talk with Eric Broug: On Islamic Geometric Patterns

Center for Art Studies is going to host Eric Broug, author of the book Islamic Geometric Patterns on October, 18th, Friday at 17.00 p.m. The interview will be moderated by Yasemin Darbaz Karaca, who translated the book for Klasik Yayınları. Broug holds a master's degree in Islamic art history and architecture from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Broug gives various workshops and trainings on the subject, as well as projects in various countries and Islamic Geometric Patterns is his first book on the topic. In the program, we will evaluate the place of geometric patterns in Islamic art from various angles in the axis of his works, especially his book with Broug.
