In the second session of the Biography in Turkey meeting series, we will have Ali Akyıldız, professor at 29 Mayıs Üniversity History Department and author of the biographies of Refia Sultan and Sadullah Pasha. We will talk about biography writing in 19th century Ottoman State, on the occasion of his latest article "Writing Human: An Analysis of Ottoman Biography Authorship and Its Problems in the 19th Century", published in the 50th issue of The Journal of Ottoman Studies.
